Andrew O'Neil (he/they) is a doctoral candidate in Public and Community Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a graduate research assistant in the Prevention and Implementation Science Training (PAIST) lab, his research focuses on the implementation of HIV and STI prevention and treatment evidence-based practices for priority populations using multimethod approaches. His current work explores PrEP implementation in rural areas.

With a passion for LGBTQ health equity, Andrew has gained valuable experience working with rural LGBTQ identified individuals throughout his graduate studies. He earned his MPH in Rural and Underserved Populations from Oklahoma State University, where he explored factors contributing to LGBTQ health disparities in rural Oklahoma.

In 2024, Andrew received the Medical College of Wisconsin Graduate School Underrepresented Scholar in Biomedical Research Award and was recognized by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing as the October 2024 MCHES® exam high scorer.
